The range of Ventura Foldables are manfactured by Liyang Global Limited
Liyang was established in 1968 by the late and former President Sam Siu.  Liyang is also one of the few pioneers left from
the early days of Taiwan bicycling industry. In 1968, former President Sam Siu started with bicycle trading for US market, it was
called Liyang Trading, Ltd then, and the focus was mainly in producing bicycle accessories. In 1971, Mr. Siu went to the New
York Bicycle Export Show in the United States and he had this idea of manufacturing bikes in Taiwan and then exporting them
to all over the world. As a result, he bought a sample bike and brought it back to his home town. Starting the bicycle business
back then was extremely tough, because there were nobody making similar components at that time. To overcome this limitation,
Mr. Siu embarked on getting bike vendors to manufacture new models and this was were they embark to build the road bikes
in Taiwan by themselves.
In 1972, Liyang Trading became Liyang Industrial, Ltd., and a factory was also established in Taipei. At that time, there was only
one assembly line, and 700 bikes can be made in one day. 1972 was also the year where Liyang started its OEM bicycle
manufacturing for the worldwide market.
In 1979, Liyang moved the factory from downtown Taipei to suburban area and production capacity also increase from 20,000
units to 50,000 units per month.
In 1989, with the rapid rise in labour costs and the limited capacity in the Taiwan factory, Liyang expanded into mainland China
and established Liyang Machinery in Shenzhen, China. The new Shenzhen facility was able to increase the production to
100,000 units per month.
In 2001, Founder Sam Siu passed away. Andy Hsu and Jemic Hsu (two brothers) took over the management team.
Andy Hsu took over the President of Liyang and Jemic Hsu was appointed Vice President of Liyang.
In 2003, Liyang Vietnam was established.  This new facility based in the city of Ho Chih Min was able to increase the total
production by another 40,000 units a month.
In 2005, Liyang Machinery was shut down due to mis-management by Andy Hsu.  The entire group was dismissed as a result of
this mis management.
In 2006, with Liyang China and Liyang Vietnam no longer exist, Jemic Hsu took over the operations and continued to keep Liyang
experience and expertise afloat within the bicycling industry. He reorganized the company and the new company is renamed to
“Liyang Global Ltd.”.  The newly transformed company adopted “Leading the way, bring the experience” as its company’s value,
and it is this value that is driving them to keep their leading edge and their strong expertise in the bicycle industry.
At this juncture, Liyang Global Ltd. has two production locations, namely in Taiwan and Malaysia. This is where they continue
produce good quality bicycles until now.
